Pleasantville No Knead Bread
Ingredients
4 cups bread or all-purpose flour sifted
2 tsp salt
4 tsp sugar divided
One packet active dry yeast (2.25 tsp)
2 cups warm water 108 to 115 degrees
Optional 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
In a large bowl combine flour, salt, 2 tsp of sugar and mix together.
With the warm water add yeast and 2 tsp of sugar and stir. Let sit for 5 min or so then add to flour mixture and mix with fork until combined.
Cover and let rise for 2 hours.
If using rosemary sprinkle on top of dough.
Fold dough in from the sides inward with 2 forks several times. Cut dough in half with your forks and place each half in a 1-quart glass bowl cover with lightly oiled plastic wrap let rise until dough crowns about 30 min.
Uncover gently and place in pre heated oven at 380 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. You can also use an instant read thermometer and insert center of bread it should read 190 degrees F.
Let rest 15 minutes then turn out, place on cooling rack and eat when you are ready.
